Аннотация
В статье отмечаются особенности афинских судебных процессов в связи со сдачей отчета должностным лицом (эвтины) в V в. до н.э. Подробно обсуждается «дело Пахета» (427 г. до н.э.). Анализируются действия Пахета во время его командования; разбираются различные версии о причинах подачи жалобы против афинского стратега и возможные обвинения против него; предлагается объяснение трагической развязки процесса Пахета (самоубийство обвиняемого во время суда). Делается предположение о влиянии театра и трагедии Софокла на выбранный Пахетом способ самоубийства.
