Аннотация
Доступность оружия, количество которого в руках американцев превышает численность населения страны, ведёт к значительным людским и экономическим потерям. Частые случаи массового кровопролития вызывают широкий общественный резонанс, и большинство американцев выступает за ограничение доступа к оружию. Этого не происходит, напротив, наблюдается регресс, инициатива находится в руках вооружённого меньшинства - лоббирующих свободное владение, ношение и обращение оружия организаций и политиков. Статья посвящена проблемам частного владения оружием и истории формирования и деятельности Национальной стрелковой ассоциации в качестве ведущей организации оружейного лобби США.
