Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of the current state of interpersonal trust among Russians (the“inner circle” of relatives, friends, acquaintances, and most people). Maintaining a high level of trust in relatives is due to the special significance of relationships with them, shared experience of adaptation to changing economic and political conditions. The low prevalence of generalized trust is seen as evidence of the prevalence of negative expectations towards fellow citizens. The relationship of trust with socio-demographic characteristics and social well-being of Russians is revealed. The more different resources a person has (income, education, living in a large city), the higher their level of trust in friends and lower in most people. The latter is strengthened by satisfaction with one's own life and the state of Affairs in the country. In General, the positive dynamics of the level of trust in various recipients over the past fifteen years indicates a gradual stabilization of social relations, adaptation of the population to new working and living conditions.
