Abstract
The article substantiates the regional typologization of the socio-cultural space of Russia on the basis of the thesis about the frontier of F. J. Turner. The key differences between the socio-cultural space of the center and the frontier are demonstrated on the data of the All-World Values Study. Special attention is paid to the comparative analysis of social tolerance, regional identity, trust, civic participation and life satisfaction of the population of the territories of the center and frontier of Russia.
