Abstract
A.R. Luria's contribution to various branches of psychological science such as general, historical, children psychology, defectology, psychophysiology is analyzed. His works devoted to studying of main methodological and theoretical problems of psychology including the role of social and biological factors in development of mind, specificity of the highest mental functions, system and semantic structure of consciousness, relations between psychology and psychophysiology etc. are described. Various aspects of works of A.R. Luria are considered (besides neuropsychology founded by him) and the great value of his works for development of the world psychological science is proved.
