Abstract
The world community places high emphasis on corruption due to its scale and prevalence over the world. Corruption become one of the global challenges. National governments, international institutions and non-government organizations enforce anti-corruption measures. Global anticorruption consensus is achieving now. Many countries introduced different sets of anticorruption measures. It is necessary to analyze carefully the results and effectiveness of their application. The author examines the evolution of views of scientists, public leaders and politicians on roots of corruption and effectiveness of anticorruption measures on local and international level. The analysis is based on historical, statistical and analytical materials.
