Abstract
The paper deals with the earliest known cuneiform texts (mainly of the 1st half of the 2nd millennium BC), containing Sumerian and Akkadian constellation names. These texts make it possible to reconstruct some circumstances related to the origin and early history of constellations in Ancient Mesopotamia.
