Abstract

The author argues that coperendinatio in the Roman Republic (at least after Sulla) was used not only by the permanent commissions investigating the cases de repetundis, but also by those concerned with the cases de maiestate. The 67 BC process of Gaius Cornelius (plebeian tribune of 67 BC) accused of crimen minutae maiestatis is the main object of the analysis.
