- Abstract
- The article analyses a fragmentary Chersоnesian inscription of the Roman period with a list τῶν σφραγισαμένων (IOSPE I 2 361; сf. IOSPE I 2 363 and НЭПХ II 112). The author argues that the fragment belongs to an unknown Chersonesian decree in honour of citizens of Heraclea Pontica who were members of the embassy to Emperor Antoninus Pius (IOSPE I 2 362). The attribution suggested here, combined with prosopographic data, makes it possible to precise the dating of the decree, which may belong to the very beginnibg of Antoninus’ rule, as well as to reconstruct the events connected with the «second eleutheria» of Chersonesus.
