Abstract

The author tries to reconstruct the hypothetical model of the long-term processes which were going on in the region of Great Mesopotamia in VI–III millennium BC, when in the course of periodical migrations different cultural entities interacted in economical, ideological and other fi elds. Recent studies in archaeology and early history of the Ancient Near East led to important corrections of our view of the early history of Mesopotamia and the origin of the Akkadian dynasty.
