- Abstract
- The article is devoted to the Argive synoikismos and genesis of the democratic regime. The start points for this processes were the elimination of Argive citizens in the battle of Sepeia and the granting of civil rights to some inhabitants of Argive plain in the Vth century BC. The authors consider the establishing of some Argive democratic institutions and attract the attention to the political struggle in the polis during the process of democratization of Argos.
