The contributors publish an epitaph in verse found in 2005 during the excavation of the acropolis of Panticapaeum. The script allows to place the inscription in the 2nd half of the 1st c. BC or the early 1st c. AD. It belongs to a big group of Panticapaean epitaphs in verse of the 2nd half of the 1st c. BC – 1st c. AD cut in the same style and probably in the same workshop (CIRB 121–143 etc.). It is a specimen of mass literary production, presumably inexpensive and intended for very undemanding customer.
