Abstract
The article is a publication of two rare copper coins, discovered by chance in the fort or fortified farm on the Bezymyannaya Hill on the chora of Tauric Chersonesus. One coin was struck in Cilicia probably in 31/30 BC during the one-year rule of Philopator, member of the local Tarkondimotid dynasty. This Philopator (known as Philopator I) was deprived of the throne by emperor Augustus in 30 BC for his support of Marcus Antonius. Another coin was struck in Ephesus in the time of Mithridates Eupator, because it bears the Mithridatic type of his royal coins and the coins of some Greek cities of his Empire. It gives a date – 89 BC, indicating a real year of submitting the city to Mithridates VI.
