- Abstract
At the end of the 19th century, Salomon Reinach introduced a whole series of innovations in the way the artifacts kept in the museum of Saint-Germain-en Laye were classified. This way of classifying was then used by numerous museums all over the world, the Hermitage among others. This is the issue the ten letters from G. Kieseritzky deal with. They are also testimonies of the intensity of the links between French and Russian archeologists at the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century.
