Abstract
During the twenty years after the disintegration of the Soviet Union, Kazakhstan has witnessed many transformations bringing it toward a creation of a multicultural but still Kazakh-centred nationalist discourse. This article explores the languages policies related to such nationalist discourses through the comparison of two collective identities: Oralman and Dungan.
