Abstract
The paper contains the information concerning Vladimir Pavlovich Biriukov (1888-1971), famous folklore specialist, founder of Shadrinsk scientific Archive (later, Shadrinsk Town Museum of Local Love), in the first half of the 20th century who took an active part in the archaeological studies of Ural and Trans-Urals.
