Abstract
The U.S. potato industry continues to strengthen its position in the domestic and foreign markets, developing as a highly effective sector of American agribusiness. The rational allocation of production and processing, the use of intensive potato cultivation and storage technologies allow to maintain an optimal level of production by increasing the yield along with successive reduction of planting areas. The volume of potato production, high quality and wide range of potato products fully satisfy the country''s needs and provide export reserves.
